Most of our patients report seeing great results when integrating our therapeutic protocols into their IVF treatments. The feeling of wellbeing, self-confidence and calm and the sense of being assisted that they gain from our therapies are essential for their success.

Your journey to parenthood is unique, so having the right support can make all the difference.

  • IVF Support

Whether you’re considering IVF, in the midst of a cycle, or have undergone multiple attempts, now is the best time to prioritise your health to potentially increase your chances of starting a family.

While much attention is often placed on the individual undergoing IVF, we recognise the importance of supporting both partners’ overall health. Optimising sperm quality through targeted therapies like acupuncture, phytotherapy, and precision nutrition is essential for successful fertilisation and embryo development during IVF.

Going through IVF can be a daunting and emotional rollercoaster for many couples. That’s why we have designed our treatments to support both your body and mind. As part of your acupuncture sessions, you’ll learn valuable mind-body techniques, such as guided visualisation and conscious breathing, to stimulate the vagus nerve.

Acupuncture treatment recommendations for IVF, IUI, and assisted reproductive technologies are as follows:

During IVF or IUI stimulation cycle 3 sessions weekly before egg collection, typically on days 3, 6, and 9 of the cycle
Post egg collection 1 session within 48 hours post-procedure
Preparing for frozen embryo transfer weekly sessions leading up to transfer, ideally once or twice per week
Day of embryo transfer (fresh or frozen) 2 sessions scheduled on the transfer day, one before and one after the procedure
After embryo transfer or IUI approximately 5 days post-transfer, followed by weekly sessions thereafter
In the event of a successful pregnancy) weekly acupuncture is recommended up to week 12 of the pregnancy

Acupuncture may offer a range of benefits for IVF:

- Improved ovarian function by increased blood flow to the ovaries and uterus, potentially improving egg quality and ovulation.

- Reduced stress by regulating the body's stress response, promoting relaxation which can have a positive effect on fertility.
Enhance reproductive health by promoting a healthy uterine lining which can support conception and implantation.

- Hormonal balance by regulating hormone level , which play key roles in the menstrual cycle and ovulation.

- Can aid in managing side effects of IVF treatment, such as pain and discomfort, bloating, and nausea.

Individual responses to acupuncture may vary, and it's advisable to consult with our qualified primary care provider before beginning any new treatment regimen for fertility.

Our treatments are designed to enhance your overall health, complementing the IVF process without interference.
During an IVF cycle, herbal prescriptions will be temporarily suspended by your practitioner to prevent any potential interaction with IVF medications.
